American cookbook author, actress, and former model Padma Lakshmi who has become quite popular as the host of popular reality show “Top Chef " has a 7-inch scar between her right elbow and shoulder.

Padma Lakshmi got this scar after she was seriously injured in an automobile accident when she was around 14. The accident happened when Padma was being driven home by her parents. Describing the accident in Vogue she said, "Flying in a car felt like an exhilarating hallucination, an unbelievable ride that oddly remains one of the most beautiful images in my memory."

Luckily everyone survived and this is how Padma got the scar on her right hand.
